I keep coming back to this image of the animal hall; I’ve been on a taxidermy/museum kick for a year now. I have made bigger prints of it. From this original 6x6, to a 15x15. It’s busy, it’s crowded and the people are reduced to shadowy whispers; I suppose, just like the animals they’re looking at.
Both images are from a larger series I did while in Edinburgh (pronounced Eden-burra). A huge thanks must go to the National Museum of Scotland for letting me practically live in their building. See? I go all the way across an ocean to study photography and where do I spend my time taking pictures? In a museum. The binoculars were borrowed from a fantastic little vintage shop also in Edinburgh, located on Cockburn St (I used to live right above it).
