Teeth Teeth, Bloody Teeth
We were down in the rare type collection at NSCAD the other afternoon during my letter press class. I cannot tell you how excited I was. Definitely in my element. I found this in the etching section and since I have to get a ton of dental work done, I thought this beauty was appropriate.

Summer Projects
I am going to be doing a lot of cyanotyped plant prints this summer. Classes are nearly done but today, I had time to trundle down to the school store and oggle printmaking paper. 9th Annual NSCAD Photo Show and Sale

I have been photographing for my most recent series at the Natural History Museum in Halifax the past couple of weekends. These are those images you see on a contact sheet and just have to print regardless of whether or not they make it into the series.

It is difficult to go more analogue than this. Not to say this it is better than tried and true black and white, we all love our Nikons and Hasselblads it’s true but, something has to be said for the intimate nature of a contact print. I have a penchant for Van Dyke Brown printing (see previous post) but cyanotypes are just plain fun and sometimes it’s nice just to do that :)
